Mozilla Firefox Extension for Beagle

This extension has been removed; instead see Browser Extension.

Introduction

Mozilla Firefox is a very popular web browser which runs on a variety of platforms like Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Beagle has a Firefox extension which allows Beagle to search your web history. However, you need the beagle.xpi extension for Firefox. These instructions explain where to get it and how to install it.

Installation

If you've built beagle from source, the extension is located in the mozilla-extension subdirectory of your source tree. For anyone else who might not have it, you can install it from here:

http://primates.ximian.com/~joe/beagle-firefox-extension-0.6.xpi

It works with both Firefox 1.x and 2.0.x. It requires Beagle 0.1.2 or newer.

You can then install this in Firefox by going File --> Open File and selecting the XPI file. After restarting Firefox your web history will be indexed.
