These steps will help you get up and running Beagle:
- Installing an inotify-enabled kernel (optional but recommended)
- Enabling Extended Attributes (optional but recommended)
- Installing Beagle
- Starting the Beagle Daemon
Once you've got the daemon up and running:
- How to index data
- How to search data
- How to configure Beagle, and other included tools
- Various environment variables to control Beagle behavior
If you have trouble during the installation, take a look at the Troubleshooting page.
Since 0.3.0, there is an experimental feature of searching remote beagle services (over the network). You can either use the Beagle Webinterface or use the Network Backend.
